At Studio Elle, our biggest inspiration is truly the vibrant, unique personalities of each individual we get the privilege to work with as clients. The core of our design process is to create a space that not only reflects their personality, but shines a spotlight on these distinctive characteristics in all their glory. Our latest masterpiece, BlueJack National, captured the attention of many, recently featured in Modern Luxury. Nestled within the rolling hills of the prestigious BlueJack National Golf Course, this luxury residence exemplifies the passion that drives us, and we are excited to share more about this property.

The Game Plan

When our client came to us, with a dream for their new home, they had a clear vision in mind: create a space that blends the warmth and intimacy of a family home with the indulgence and elegance of a luxurious resort. As avid travelers, they wanted a home that would serve as a reflection of these globe-trotting experiences, incorporating design elements from destinations they had fallen in love with. It was important to them that the space feel both luxurious and inviting—a place where they could host gatherings, relax with family, and feel completely at home.

We embraced the challenge head on, knowing that this project would require a delicate balance of opulence and comfort. The result is a breathtaking residence with a serene atmosphere, where each corner tells a story of the client’s travels, while maintaining a grounded and welcoming feeling throughout.

The Key Details

One of the most striking features of Bluejack is its ability to marry sophisticated, timeless elements with modern design innovations. From custom steel and glass entrances to the impressive use of natural materials, no detail was overlooked.

1. A Bold First Impression:

The exterior of the home is nothing short of captivating. A custom iron and glass angled entrance greets guests, setting the tone for what lies beyond. The steel retaining walls and cantilevered porch are complemented by the expansive pool design, which features a stunning window that looks straight into the wine cellar. It’s not just a pool—it’s a piece of architectural art that seamlessly integrates with the home’s overall aesthetic.

2. Warmth and Elegance Inside:

Step inside, and you’ll notice the striking use of marble slabs, brass details, and custom slab edges that elevate the space. These timeless materials are thoughtfully combined to create an atmosphere of quiet luxury. The rich, organic textures of the custom Texas Post Oak wood flooring provide warmth, while the dramatic ceiling treatments and bold lighting fixtures catch the eye and draw you into each space. The lighting, in particular, plays a central role in the home, adding both function and beauty with fixtures sourced from across the globe, including custom-designed pieces and Italian-crafted lights that bring an air of sophistication to every room.

3. The Heart of the Home: The Wine Cellar and Game Room:

For a home designed with both relaxation and entertaining in mind, the wine cellar and game room are standout spaces. Designed with a cool, industrial flair, the wine cellar features a custom-built banquette, a Baccarat chandelier, and walls adorned with music memorabilia and commissioned art. It’s a space where the clients can unwind and host friends after a round of golf. The green tufted leather sofa, expertly aged by a local craftsman, adds a touch of rugged elegance that fits perfectly into the overall design.

4. Personal Touches:

While the design of Bluejack is undeniably luxurious, the true magic lies in the personal touches throughout the home. The gallery wall in the main hall is a testament to the client’s journey, capturing cherished memories from their travels and life together. Initially a gift from Jessica to Paul, the gallery now serves as a constant reminder of their love and experiences. It’s these deeply personal elements that make the home truly feel like a sanctuary.

Overcoming Challenges, Celebrating Triumphs

Like any large-scale project, Bluejack had its share of challenges. Built during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we faced delays in material availability and challenges with coordinating trades. However, through close communication and creative problem-solving, we were able to bring the vision to life. It’s often said that the best designs are born out of necessity, and in this case, some of the setbacks led to even more inspired solutions.

One particularly rewarding moment came when the client, deeply involved in the design process, helped us curate the perfect pieces during our trips to the furniture market. Their hands-on approach ensured that every detail—from the furniture to the accessories—reflected their unique taste and contributed to the sense of comfort and luxury that defines the space.

A Home for Generations

At Bluejack, luxury and comfort exist side by side. Whether it’s relaxing in the spa-inspired bathrooms, enjoying a movie night in the cozy living room, or entertaining guests in the cellar, the home offers an abundance of spaces for relaxation and connection. The family’s favorite feature of the home? While the expansive pool and seamless transition from indoors to outdoors are breathtaking, it’s the family gallery wall that truly tugs at their hearts.
